About the Role

Brooklyn SolarWorks is looking for a hands-on, motivated Warehouse Associate to become an essential part of our operations team. You'll work closely with our Warehouse and Electrical Managers to maintain our supply of solar and electrical components, prep job kits, coordinate deliveries, and keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do

  • Partner with Warehouse and Electrical Managers to maintain and replenish electrical stock and supplies
  • Assist with sourcing and procurement of electrical parts and components
  • Pack electrical kits, roof kits, and handle prep work to keep installation crews ready to go
  • Follow receiving protocols for all incoming deliveries, verifying accuracy and flagging discrepancies
  • Load and unload vehicles efficiently and safely
  • Drive materials to job sites across the city as needed
  • Organize and label materials in a logical, safe, and accessible manner
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move and store inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
  • Use warehouse management software to track and manage stock levels
  • Report damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Manager promptly
  • Support all aspects of warehouse upkeep and job prep
  • Take on additional duties as directed by management

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Familiarity with electrical parts and components
  • 1–2 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented attitude with a positive, collaborative disposition
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours when needed

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with inventory management or warehouse software
  • Background in solar, construction, or the trades

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $24-$28/per hour

Benefits:

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan (Traditional & Roth) with 4% tiered company matching — eligible after 6 months
  • Paid Time Off + Sick Days
  • Monthly MTA MetroCard commuter benefit
